Your Evidence Table

Evidence of Learning / Artifact of Learning

In LiFT, Evidence is an assignment you are asked to do to demonstrate your learning. If you submit a digital file or website for that assignment, that's called an Artifact.  Your Artifact can be a video, a document, a website - whatever you and your teacher decide is acceptable.

Your Evidence Table is where Evidence assignments from all your Projects in all of your Classes are displayed. You open your Evidence Table by clicking on Evidence in your navigation bar on the left.

How to Read the Table

  1. Evidence - The first column is the name of an Evidence assignment. Click on the name and a preview of the Artifact (what you've submitted) appears in a center window. You can update the Artifact, or if you are submitting it for the first time, you can add it in that window.
  2. Status - The second column shows the current status of the Evidence - whether it is Assigned (but not yet submitted), In Progress, Completed or in one of your Skill Portfolios, or if Review Requested (you're waiting for your teacher to review it) or Revision Requested (your teacher is waiting for you to revised and re-submit your Evidence).
  3. Skills - The third column displays one of the skills that the Evidence may have been tagged to. Click on the link and the skills will display in a center window. If your teacher has already rated your Evidence against those skills, there may be a check mark in one of the boxes. Hover over a box to see what the score/rating is.
  4. Comments - The Comments column has a blue dot with the number of communications that have passed back and forth between you and your teacher. Click on the blue dot and the chat box will display in the center window.
  5. Due Date - If the evidence has a due date, it will display in the column labeled Due. Deadlines appear in black unless they are overdue, when they display in red.
  6. Project & Class Name - The final two columns show the name of the Project the Evidence comes from and the Class that Project is assigned in. Hover over either shortened name to see the full name.

How to Find What You're Looking For

Because your list of Evidence will likely get really long, it's important to know how to search for specific Evidence. There are a number of search and filter tools above the table.
  1. You can search for a specific Evidence name or Project name. Enter a portion of the name in one of the two search bars and then click on the blue Search button. The Evidence Table will then only display Evidence that meets your search criteria.
  2. You can filter the table by either class or status by selecting an option from the appropriate drop down menu. Once you've clicked on an option, click on the blue Search button. The Evidence Table will then only display Evidence that matches the class or status option you've selected.
  3. To clear the search to see the whole list again, click on the blue Clear button.
