Add Evidence

Navigate to the Step, open the Step Evidence tab, click on Add Evidence button.

Name Evidence

Give Evidence a Name. Entering a Due Date is optional. If you wish to do so, click on that field and select your date from the calendar.

Lock Access  (optional)

You have the option to lock access to this Evidence until a Learner requests it. You may wish to have earlier Steps or Evidence completed before they access this Evidence assignment.

Enable Rubric Rating and/or Numeric Scoring

You can select Enable Rubric Rating, Enable Numeric Scoring, or both.

  • If you select neither, you can mark Evidence as completed, but not otherwise evaluate it.
  • Enabling Rubric Rating requires you to select one or more Target Skills. You’ll be able to rate the Evidence for each Target Skill selected, depending on how well the Evidence expresses that particular skill. When the Evidence is completed, you will be able to forward it to each associated Skill Portfolio. It’s good practice to select only the Skills you plan to evaluate.
  • Enabling Numeric Scoring with Target Skills allows you to score the Evidence separately for each Skill on a 100-point scale, again depending on how well you think it expresses each tagged skill. Numeric Scoring is generally not done in tandem with Rubric Rating, but it is possible to use both for the same Evidence if that is what you wish.
  • Enabling Numeric Scoring does not require a Target Skill. Selecting this option allows you to score the evidence on a 100-point scale, but there is no associated Skill Portfolio for completed Evidence to be pushed into. This option is more frequently use for formative assignments.
