Getting Started

Welcome to LiFT! Built by teachers passionate about learner-centered education, LiFT is designed to help schools implement PBL and CBE best practices. We’re here to help you be successful as you work to give young learners the skills and confidence to succeed.

But, first, let’s get you into LiFT…

Step 1: Activate Your Account

If your school uses Clever

There is nothing that you need to do to activate your account. Your account is pre-activated and you will log into LiFT directly through Clever.

If your school does not use Clever

Your account has been created by your school’s LiFT Facilitator. You may have received an email from LiFT guiding you through the activation process.

If not, you may also activate your account by visiting the LiFT activation link:

You will be asked to enter your email address. Please enter your school-based email address. From there, follow the prompts to activate your account and set your password.

Step 2: Log into LiFT

If your school uses Clever

By now, you’ve probably figured this out. You log into LiFT directly through Clever.

If your school does not use Clever

Teachers and Students log into LiFT using the following URLs:

Please enter your school-based email address and your LiFT password. You should now be in LiFT, looking at your Project Library.

Step 3: Complete Your Google Integration (whether your school is on Clever or not)

For schools using a Google Workspace, LiFT offers a simple, streamlined way to assign and collect evidence of learning using Google templates. LiFT automatically makes a copy of templated Google Drive assignments in each Learner’s drive, and manages the sharing permissions so that Learners can seamlessly submit evidence assignments. These shared Google documents can easily be passed back and forth between teacher and learner, and teachers can edit or comment on them directly in their Feedback Window. You will learn more about this later. Right now, it is important to complete the Google Integration and introduce LiFT to your Google Drive.

To do this one-time process, you must first be logged into LiFT. From your Dashboard, click on the arrow to the right of your name in the top right corner of your screen, and select Single Sign On from the drop down menu.

Enter your School Email Address and click on Continue. Do not use a personal email address.

Choose your School Account, not a personal account. If you are not being recognized by the system, click on Sign Our of All Accounts and add your School Account again.

By completing this process, you are now able to share Google Templates with your students. You are also able to log in through any other apps that your LiFT Facilitator has integrated with LiFT, possibly including Canvas or Schoology.

Not a Google Workspace School?

If your school doesn’t use Google Workspace, then Google Templates is a LiFT feature that you will not be able to use. Nevertheless, it may be helpful to go through the Single Sign On (SSO) process outlined above to make it possible for you to log in directly through Canvas, Schoology or Microsoft Teams.
