Your Role as Facilitator

Your Role as Facilitator

LiFT Facilitators have administrative access to the back side of LiFT to be able to set-up LiFT to match your school's instructional model and then create and manage your users’ accounts. It is possible to have more than one Facilitator if you feel a team approach works best for you.

Preliminary Steps

Before you bring your team and learners into LiFT, you will need to establish the basic structure of LiFT in your school. These foundational tasks are:

  • Defining your Skills Framework
  • Initiating any desired Integrations
  • Creating Terms & Classes

You will find instructions to fulfill all of your duties as Facilitator in this online help center, but you also have the support of your LiFT Team. Your LiFT Team will work with you define your Skills Framework and upload it into LiFT; the process to map and upload your Skills Framework typically takes up to two weeks. If you are a Clever School, you will want to rely on your LiFT Team to assist you to set up your Clever integrations.

Onboarding

Once you have the basic structure in place, you have the primary responsibility to get everything rolling. These first steps are:

  • Creating LiFT accounts for your Teachers and Students
  • Getting everyone onto the LiFT platform and oriented
  • If your school uses Google, having all users establish Single Sign On (SSO) with Google. This completes the authentication of your Google integration which enables the use of Google Drive Templates for Evidence.

Additional LiFT Features

You may elect to utilize some LiFT features to assist with assessment and provide feedback to Learners and their families. These features include:

  • Portfolio Grading Policies
  • View-Only Access for Parents/Guardians
  • LiFT Progress Reports

Everyone’s Go To Person

You will also be the person at your school that Teachers and Students will turn to when they have a question or issue as they are using LiFT. And finally, you are the primary administrative conduit to your LiFT Team.

Phew… You’ve got a big job, but remember that we are always here to help you!

What's Important to Understand
